Our Eye Care Staff

Our exceptional, friendly staff is our greatest asset. They are excited about what they do, and they care personally about getting the best results for our patients.
 
Our receptionists will try to accommodate your busy schedule by finding appointments that suit your needs. We will help you understand your insurance coverage and if financial arrangements are necessary, we will be glad to help you develop a plan to make your vision care treatment possible.

Amanda Purtle

Amanda has been with  Progressive Vision Center since October 2010.  She has previously worked as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant for 10 years at Ochsner Eye Center in Wichita, KS. You will always see Amanda with a smile on her face, doing what she does best, as she cares for our patients here at PVC. 

Diane Rude

Diane Rude

Diane has been with Progressive Vision Center for over 15 years. In the clinic she pretests and assists Dr. Babell with patient care, as well as performing diagnostic tests. Diane oversees the day to day operation of the clinic department to ensure your visit is as thorough and pleasant as possible.

Quilesa May

Quilesa May

Quil has over 20 years of customer service experience with over 10 of those years at Progressive Vision Center. As the Patient Care Coordinator, she answers the phone, schedules appointments and assists patients with the check-in process. Quil also will assist in the optical and clinical department when needed. From the moment she greets you as you walk in the door to the moment she wishes you well as you walk out, Quil has an infectious smile and laugh.

Melody Sluga

Melody first came to our practice in June 2009 as an Optician and Technician.  She previously worked for seven years at Illinois Eye Center as their Lasik Surgery Coordinator.  After a short absence, Melody joined us in again in 2013 as Practice Manager where she oversees staff and practice management. You will also often see Melody at our Front Desk, helping work patients up, or even in our Optical Boutique.

 

Lisa Miars

Lisa Miars

Lisa has over 40 years of excellent customer service experience, with almost ten of those years at Progresseve Vision Center. Her position as Patient Intake Specialist includes answering phone calls, scheduling appointments and assisting patients with check-in process. LIsa oversees the check out process to ensure any necessary follow-up appointments are made and appropriate copays are applied.

Reena Erickson

Reena Erickson

Reena has been in eyecare for over 13 years. Reena joined Progressive Vision Center from Spoon River Optical after Dr. Farlick retired. She started as an optician in the optical department and then moved to testing several years ago. Reena oversees the specialty testing such as visual field screening and retinal scans. Reena also does the insertion and removal classes for first time contact lens wearers.

Ashley Bortell

Ashley joined our team in August 2015. Ashley has a passion for people…and it shows! In 2017, she became our Insurance/Billing Coordinator. A native of Georgia, she brings southern charm to our office!!

Lindsey Wagner

Lindsey Wagner

Lindsey has spent many years in the Optometry/Ophthalmology field. Lindsey started with Progressive Vision Center as an optician and recently moved to Optometric Technician. She is certified by the American Board of Opticianry as well as Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, Certified Paraoptometric and Ophthalmic Scribe Certified.

Jeremy Kauzlarich

jeremy k crop2Jeremy joined Progressive Vision Center in August 2015 as our new Dispensary Manager. Starting out as a part-time lab tech and working his way up to General Manager of a retail chain location, he brings a vast array of knowledge and experience. Jeremy was born and raised in Canton and is excited to “be home.”
